Jeffery Neill MacKay (October 20, 1948 – August 22, 2008) was an American character actor.MacKay is best remembered as Magnum's friend "Mac" on Magnum, P.I., he was also featured in recurring roles in Black Sheep Squadron, JAG, Battlestar Galactica, Airwolf, The Greatest American Hero, and Tales of the Gold Monkey. MacKay also played annoying brother Gordie Masterson on the children's television show Dr. Shrinker, which was part of The Krofft Supershow.MacKay was born in Dallas, Texas. His cousin Robert Redford got him interested in acting, and helped him get his Screen Actors Guild Card with a part in All The President's Men.
