HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. (DCOM) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $18.5 million.
The Hauppauge, New York-based bank said it had earnings of 43 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 37 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 36 cents per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $171.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $87.3 million, also topping Street forecasts.
